There are many reasons people choose to kayak. Fishing, snorkeling, wildlife watching and camping are just a few reasons people enjoy getting on the water and paddling their hearts out. But no matter what the reason, fitness is an inescapable aspect of the sport. When fitness is the sole focus of a paddling trip, kayaking can be a tremendous benefit to those looking to slim down and buff up by offering a variety of exercise options to lose weight and train specific core muscle groups.
