Baseball is a sport that throws around the word “sacrifice” rather loosely. Sacrifice bunts, sacrifice flies, guys sacrificing themselves for the team.

Venice High Baseball Coach Craig Faulkner runs one of the top baseball programs in the country, but he hasn’t let his team’s success distract him from the real sacrifices that have taken place away from the baseball diamond.
