Impact Academy's Jean-Michel Tine elevates over Venice's Mike Poniatowski. Venice won 53-43.
The Venice High boys basketball team went 1-1 during its back-to-back slate, dropping a 54-53 heartbreaker to Booker Monday before responding with a 53-43 win over Impact Academy Tuesday.
In a losing effort, the Indians played what head coach James Slaton called “one of our best games of the year against one of the most athletic teams in the area.” The Tornadoes stole a win with a game-winning shot in the waning seconds.
