Venice High graduate Dri Archer has run the gamut of emotions over the past 18 months at Kent State. After promising freshman and sophomore campaigns, Archer was declared academically ineligible prior to the 2011 season.
But after redshirting and getting his grades up last year, the fourth-year junior exploded onto the national scene in 2012, leading the Golden Flashes, a mid-major with little national relevance, to the Mid-American Championship game and a berth in the GoDaddy.com Bowl.
