Marilyn Virginia Selders, 78, of Venice, Fla., died on Sunday, March 10, 2013. She was born in Adrian, Mich. on Oct. 10, 1934. Marilyn spent most of her life in Tecumseh, Mich.. She and her husband Lowell honeymooned in Florida and began wintering in Sarasota County soon after that. They owned many businesses and homes together.

Marilyn was artistic and creative, and she always had time for children. She was a member of the Venice Church of the Nazarene where she was a Bible teacher and a motivational speaker.

She is survived by her husband Lowell of Venice, Fla.; daughter Pamela Cook of Venice; sons, Terry of Franklin, N.C. and Timothy of Temple City, Calif.; sisters, Juanita Mouler of Clark Lake, Mich. and Donna Rose Cruickshank of Brandon, Fla.; and grandchildren Jeremy and Cali.

She will be remembered by her family as a wonderful wife and mother.

Services: Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2013, from 12 – 1 p.m. at the Venice Church of the Nazarene with a service to follow at 1 p.m.. Burial services will be private.

Contributions: The family requests that memorial donations are directed to the Venice Church of the Nazarene Children’s Department, 1535 East Venice Avenue, Venice, FL 34292 or Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238.
