You ever wonder who decided to start the new school year before Labor Day weekend? I seem to remember never starting school until after the Labor Day holiday growing up.
When you think about it, does it really make sense to put the students through all the retraining of dedicating yourself five days per week to the scholarly world? It feels like we just get the children in a routine when all of the sudden we get the 3-day weekend and most of the scheduling adjustment flies out the window.
