Proud business owners listened as the award winners were described in glowing terms for the manner in which they served their customers. Treating all businesses as though they were her own was said of a winner who treats other people the way she wants to be treated.

The comments were made at the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce 2013 Business of the Year Awards Ceremony held at Plantation Golf & Country Club. Now in the 34th year, the ceremony saw a record 274 attendees representing more than 100 member companies.
