Kerry Koppin is managing the new Treasures Thrift Shop benefiting Tidewell Hospice, 565 North U.S. 41 Bypass in Bird Bay Plaza. This is the second location Koppin has opened for the nonprofit; the first opened in Bradenton in November 2010.

The 6,500-square-foot location accepts donations of furniture; clothing and shoes for men, women and children; artwork; household items; books; videos; and collectables. It’s staffed primarily by volunteers, and at this time they do need more help.
