“It is a fun concept for this area, and we are putting our passion towards it,” said David De Fede, who with wife Jessica is opening Yo Fresh Yogurt Café of Venice, 4197 South Tamiami Trail, in the Venice Village Shoppes, in early October.

It is a self-serve yogurt shop offering waffle cones to fill with fifty frozen yogurt flavors and 100 toppings, as well as smoothies your way with the same choice of toppings. To-go frozen yogurt is available by the quart, selecting your own flavors and toppings. Daily there will be 12 gluten-free, low-fat yogurt and sorbet offerings promoting health and wellness. Sodas and iced teas are available from the cooler. Seating is available for 18 customers.
