New HIV, AIDS clinic opens

Formerly a bank, the building at 14243 Tamiami Trail is now home to the Comprehensive Care Center, where patients with HIV and AIDS can receive a broad array of medical care, including dental treatment. The center will also provide confidential testing.

NORTH PORT — A new medical office has opened in the city designed specifically to treat the needs of patients with HIV and AIDS.
The Comprehensive Care Center, at 14243 Tamiami Trail, near the Winn-Dixie shopping center, held its grand opening and open house last week.
