PUNTA GORDA — A man was arrested on Tuesday for allowing a trucking company to dump tires on his own property, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

Robert Jackson Clawson, 57, 6400 block of Gewant Blvd., Punta Gorda, was charged with felony littering over 500 pounds after 100 tractor-trailer tires were dumped on a vacant lot he owns in the Charlotte Ranchettes area of Punta Gorda.
