Scott Anthony Rollins

Scott Anthony Rollins, 63, of Duncan, S.C., passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013.

A native of Miami, Fla., he was the son of Wilbur and Phyllis Maguire Rollins.

Mr. Rollins was of the Catholic Faith, and retired from Deep Creek Golf Course in Deep Creek (Punta Gorda), Fla. Scott was a jack of all trades and master of many. He was an ace mechanic, greens keeper, master chef and snook fisherman. To those who loved Mr. Rollins best, he was a listener, teacher, jokester, storyteller and the best company we have ever known.

Survivors include his sons, Scott Rollins Jr. of Duncan, and Joe Rollins of Wellford, S.C.; daughter, Amy Rollins of Port Charlotte, Fla.; brother, Jack Rollins of Sparta, N.C.; and four grandchildren. Scott was preceded in death by his sister, Tiffany Rollins; and wife, Erin Murray Rollins.

A memorial funeral Mass will be held at noon Friday, March 1, 2013, at Jesus Our Risen Savior in Spartanburg, S.C. The family is at the home of Scott Rollins Jr., 118 Highland Drive, Duncan. Condolences may be made online at www.striblingfuneralhome.net.
