Shirley A. Arabinko, 90, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013.

She was born April 16, 1922, in West Haven, Conn., and moved to this area 47 years ago from North Carolina.

Mrs. Arabinko was a homemaker, former member of the Punta Gorda Yacht Club, an avid painter, and was a member of the Art Society. She also enjoyed bridge and golf. Mrs. Arabinko was of the Episcopal faith.

Survivors include her daughters, Christine Cilch of Punta Gorda, and Elizabeth Kremer of Calif.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas; son, Nicky; five sisters; and two brothers.

Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery beside her husband. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare League, 3519 Drance Street, Port Charlotte, Fla. 33980, or TideWell Hospice, 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, Fla. 34238.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte, Fla.
