Gladys Poffenbaugh

Gladys Poffenbaugh, 91, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.

Born in Hackensack, N.J., Mrs. Poffenbaugh lived in Short Hills, N.J., before moving to Florida in 1978.

She was a former member of Kingsway Golf Club and the Punta Gorda Isles Yacht Club. As a resident of South Port Square Assisted Living Facility in Port Charlotte, she enjoyed playing golf and tennis, and spending time with friends and family.

Mrs. Poffenbaugh is survived by her sister, Dorothy Teague of North Port, Fla.; son, Andrew Wolff of Burlington, N.C.; daughter, Janice Estes of Chatham, N.J.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Wolff.

A private Memorial Service for Gladys Poffenbaugh was held Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in Punta Gorda, Fla. Mrs. Poffenbaugh was laid to rest at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda, next to her husband. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
