Florence E. Schmidt, 88, of Port Charlotte, Fla., previously of Long Island, N.Y., passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013.

She is survived by three daughters, Lynn Spittler of Port Charlotte, Deborah (Don) Combs of Sayville, N.Y., and Dawn Leder of Bohemia, N.Y.; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and two sisters, Violet (Floyd) Green, and Laure Mallon. She was preceded in death by her son, Arnold; and her granddaughter, Sondra.

Memorial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Veterans Hwy., Port Charlotte Fla.
