Maynard, Mass. – A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, December 4th, in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, Massachusetts for Mr. Arthur L. St. Germain, Jr., of Maynard and Port Charlotte, Florida. Burial followed in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Mr. St. Germain died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at his home in Maynard. He was 65.

Arthur was born in Waltham on June 16, 1947, a son of the late Arthur L. and Phyllis M. (Manning) St. Germain. He was raised in Acton and was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School in Waltham. After that Arthur attended Boston College, graduating in 1969, and where he played goalie on the B.C. hockey team.

After college Arthur became a math and science teacher at Maynard High School where he taught for thirty-three years. He was also the school’s long time hockey coach. Arthur was also the founder and first coach of the high school golf team.

The son of the late Arthur L. and Phyllis (Manning) St. Germain, he leaves his sister, Dona M. Kriete and her husband, Laurence, of North Port, Florida; his sister-in-law, Lucille M. (Dupuis) St. Germain of Waltham and his nephews, Charles N. and Arthur J. Kriete. Arthur was also the brother of the late Jude St. Germain.

Memorial donations may be made to the Arthur L. St. Germain, Jr. Scholarship Fund, c/o Maynard High School, 1 Tiger Drive, Maynard, MA 01754.
