Rose Muia

Rose Muia, 90, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Fla.

She was born March 12, 1922, in New York City, N.Y., to Antonio and Rose (nee Sansone) Grande.

Rose moved to the Port Charlotte area 35 years ago, from there. She worked as a school crossing guard and was a member of Senior Friends in Port Charlotte. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Rose will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her!

She is survived by her sons, Anthony F. (Margaret) Muia and Joseph M. (Debra) Muia all of N. Fort Myers, Fla.; and sister, Jean Ginocchio of Wake Forest, N.C. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Carmelo in 2003.

Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Paul Schelm Funeral Home, 12687 S.W. Co. Rd. 769 (Kings Highway) in Lake Suzy, Fla. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 21505 Augusta Ave., in Port Charlotte.
