‘Go Green’ was the word at Fishermen’s Village in Punta Gorda, which chose to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early Saturday by keeping the Earth green. The village held a “Get Your Green On Expo” promoting Mother Earth, while entertaining is guests. Performances scheduled for later in the day included Way Too Tall Torie the stilt walker, Jeff the Juggler, the Lee County Pipes & Drums, the Celtic Beat Irish Dancers and the Emily Ann Thompson Band. Here, Kelly Potter, Chris Certain and owner Bill Certain from Certain Water Service were on hand during the expo, raffling off a “Reverse Osmosis” water filter, with proceeds going to the Back Pack Kidz program.
