PORT CHARLOTTE — A medical facility that serves Charlotte County adults who are below poverty level will reopen next month at a new location and under a new name and in a permanent building.

Formerly known as the St. Vincent de Paul Community Clinic, the health clinic was renamed the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic to honor Andes, who purchased the new building at 21297 Olean Blvd., Port Charlotte. A private dedication ceremony and preview party will be held in her honor Tuesday. The clinic will be open for tours starting Nov. 28.
