PORT CHARLOTTE — A local woman reportedly brought along her 2-year-old son to a drug deal, according to a Charlotte County Sheriff’s report.

Sara Nicole Brown, 31, of the 2100 block of Picnic Street, was charged Wednesday with two counts each of selling opium or a derivative and possession of a controlled substance; and one count each of possession of narcotic equipment, trafficking in opium or a derivative and child neglect. She also was charged with violating her probation on an unrelated charge out of Palm Beach County.
