Joseph S. Csaji, 89, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Trenton, N.J., passed away Feb. 23, 2013.

He was born Jan. 10, 1924, in Newark, N.J., to Stephen and Theresa Csaji.

Joseph served in the U.S. Navy and was the Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus at San Pedro Catholic Church. He was also a member of the American Legion and VFW. Joseph loved cruising and playing bingo.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Mary Ann Csaji; children, Terri Hain, Judy Letarte, James Greene, Jeff Greene and Linda Sellers; brother, Frank Krinacker; mother-in-law, Eleanor Drzonek; 19 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Joseph is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Csaji; son, Joseph Csaji; daughter, Joyce Evans; and beloved dog, Sunny.

Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at McKee Funeral Home, 14538 Tamiami Trail, North Port. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at San Pedro Catholic Church, 14380 Tamiami Trail, North Port.
