Gwyn Adele Ramsey of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, due to complications from cancer.

She was born in St. Louis, Mo., to parents William and Geraldine Koetterheinrich.

Gwyn was married to Kenneth Ramsey. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Gwyn was an accomplished writer and storyteller. She survived cancer eight times, and was an inspiration and friend to many people across the country.

Gwyn is survived by her sons, Stephen and Mark Ramsey; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial arrangements will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Gulf Cove United Methodist Church.
