George Allen Wilson, 65, of Port Charlotte, Fla., and formerly of Hartford City, Ind., passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.

He was born April 9, 1947, in Hartford City, to Robert and Maxine (nee Michael) Wilson.

George lovingly dedicated his giving heart to his family, enjoying them thoroughly. He attended Murdock Baptist Church.

George is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Judy Wilson of Port Charlotte; son, Scott (Stacy) Wilson of Hartford City; daughter, Kimberly (Sean) Jenkinson of Port Charlotte; grandchildren, Alexis, Alex and Ashton Wilson, and Megan and Brittany Jenkinson; mother, Maxine Slentz of Hartford City; sister, Susan (Mike) Willmann of Hartford City; brother, Tony (Debbie) Wilson of Fowlerville, Mich.; and brother, Rex (Candee) Wilson of Vienna, Va. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wilson.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Murdock Baptist Church, 18375 Cochran Blvd., Port Charlotte. Memorial contributions may be made to Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary, P.O. Box 897, Englewood, FL 34295.
