Irene M. Trzcinka, 90, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, peacefully at her home in Port Charlotte.

She was born Aug. 18, 1922, in Stamford, Conn.

Irene moved to Port Charlotte in 1991 from Hialeah, Fla. She was a devout and faithful member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Irene was a strong and magnificent mother who taught her children to be strong in spirit, as she was until the very end. Irene will be remembered dearly by all who loved and knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice O’Day of Nokomis, Fla.; son, Gary Trzcinka of Fort Myers, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to extend condolences to the family and sign the memory book.
