Spring break is an amazing annual ritual for college faculty, staff and students. To many, the mere use of that term elicits thoughts that range from “Beach Blanket Bingo” to wild house parties. To others, spring break provides a few days of simple rest, relaxation and an opportunity to catch up on household duties.
No doubt many Edison students found time for the beach. In the last few days, I have talked to faculty and staff who vacationed out of state, and some who even participated in Daytona Beach’s legendary Bike Week. Both students and faculty used the time to write papers, grade projects and prepare for the remainder of the spring semester.
