Another view of the gun-control debate
There has been a great deal of outcry since the horrible murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., in the media, and naturally so. Their response and from much of our government has been more gun control.
Unfortunately, the opinions stated are mostly emotional, not fact-based. Worse, they haven’t told the whole truth about the situation which further obfuscates the solutions. Yes, we certainly need to address the problem, but first we need the data upon which to act. No one wants felons or the mentally ill to possess guns. However, fuzzy-minded dreams of a gun-free, crime-free America is nonsense.
