Beauty queens come in all ages and s izes. Alexia Poulin of Port Charlotte was only six months old when she won her first title — Miss Majestic Baby. Now as a veteran at 5, Alexia, or Allie Mae as she is called, has more than 50 titles to her credit. The next really big step will come this month when she competes with other girls her age in Lakeland for the title of American Natural Beauty. Her mother, Kim, will be competing with her for the same title in her age category. Currently they hold the titles of Royal Majesty Ambassadors. The day after this contest, Allie Mae will compete in the Royal Majesty National contest for girls ages 5-19.

Kim Poulin is a third generation member of the pageant community, following in her grandmother’s and mother’s footsteps. Kim, who is a teacher at Woodland Middle School in North Port, paid for her college education with the money she earned at beauty pageants. She hopes that Allie Mae, the fourth generation of beauty queens, will be able to do the same.
