There is more to getting new windows than getting them replaced — permits are needed from the Charlotte County Building Department.
“Permits are required if you replace more than 25 percent of the glass in the house,” said Randall Maitland, owner of The Window Man,” at 4425 Tamiami Trail, in Charlotte Harbor. It is next to La France Cleaners on the north-west corner of U.S. 41 and Edgewater Road.
