PORT CHARLOTTE — Details of a burglary that occurred at Westchester Gold and Diamonds store early Friday are similar to those of a burglary that took place last summer that involved thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has not released details of either burglary. But both business owners offered some details of the steps taken by the thieves and how they were able to gain access to the stores.
