SARASOTA COUNTY — Donn Patchen, who has served as manager for Community Information and Outreach for Miami-Dade County and director of communications for the Super Bowl XLI Host Committee, has been tapped as the new communications director for Sarasota County.

“I wasn’t actively looking for a new position, but when you see an opportunity to work for a prestigious and one of the premier government entities in Sarasota County it’s an opportunity I just can’t pass up,” Patchen said Monday. “Jobs of this nature don’t come along that often — to be able to get into a county government and work for such a great organization like this.”
