At least one board member, the newest one, sees a conflict of interest in a senior administrator and the school board attorney, married to one another, working in close professional proximity.
Hunt Berryman, during the Polk County School Board work session Tuesday, said he felt it was inappropriate and a conflict of interest for Carolyn Bridges, who directs the Charter, Choice and Magnet School office, and Wes Bridges, who is lead counsel for the district, to work together, considering they are husband and wife.
