Not resting on their first-place win at the Florida State Drill Team Competition, the Summerlin Academy drill team was on the quadrangle recently further honing their skills at precision marching while twirling and tossing their rifles in the air.

According to drill instructor First Sgt. Cordale “Jack” Jackson, who watched every move of the nine-man squad as they practiced, his Summerlin team bested 97 other teams for the top honors April 7 at George Jenkins High School in Lakeland.
