PUNTA GORDA — Dwight Reynolds scored on a driving layup with 19 seconds left to complete Charlotte High School’s comeback and give the Tarpons a 61-60 victory against Fort Myers in a late-season, non-district showdown between regional powers.
The Tarpons (12-4) trailed nearly the entire game and were down 59-51 with less than four minutes remaining, but they ended the game on a 10-1 run that culminated with Reynolds’ bucket. That lead was their first since the game’s opening minutes.
