NORTH PORT — A tough press and solid defense on both sides of the pitch left two teams wanting more Thursday night, when North Port High School pushed visiting Mariner to a 1-all tie.

The finish masked an uneventful first half. Neither team scored during the first 40 minutes, with the Tritons leading shots on goal 5-1.
