ENGLEWOOD — It took a minute for the Charlotte High School boys basketball team to separate itself from Lemon Bay on Tuesday night. It was only a matter of which minute.

The Tarpons scored nine straight points on the Mantas — two 3-pointers by Tyliek Sylver and a 3-point play by Jimmy Stewart in the fourth quarter – as Charlotte extended its lead to double-digits for the first time in a 68-61 victory over Lemon Bay.
