Teresa J. “Terry” Walker, 80, a 21-year resident of North Port, Fla., and a former 45-year resident of Otisville, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the Hospice House of Englewood in Englewood, Fla.

She was born Jan. 18, 1932, in Merrick, N.Y., to William and Theresa Krucher.

Teresa was a retired postal clerk with the U.S. Post Office in Otisville. She was a member of the Holy Name Church in Otisville, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Floyd Carter Post of the American Legion, and the Otisville – Mt. Hope Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her loving husband, LeRoy F. “Roy” Walker at home in North Port; children, Elaine D. Walker of North Port, Cindy Andrews and her husband, Larry of Hanover, Md., Gary Walker and his significant other, Stacy of Bernardsville, N.J., and Mickey Walker of Middletown, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; great-granddaughter; brother, Alex Krucher and his wife, Roma of Rocky Point, N.Y.; sister-in-laws, Lois Krucher of Oceanside, N.Y., and Faye Krucher of Indiantown, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Terry was her daughter, Karen Kaelin, and siblings, William Krucher, Mary Hagglund, Rita Kutzing, and Stephen Krucher.

Friends may call at from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2012, at the Cornelius Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2012, at Holy Name Church, 45 Highland Ave., Otisville, NY. Reverend Michael Palazzo will be the celebrant.
