Murder suspect still awaits jury

SARASOTA COUNTY — Two days have passed and a jury has yet to be chosen in the trial of Charles Hill, the Sarasota man charged in the 2011 death of El Jobean resident James Brotherton.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys interviewed 150 potential jurors during Monday and Tuesday, and anticipate having the jury selected today. State attorneys had the opportunity to question potential jurors in full on Tuesday, while Hill’s attorneys were just getting started at the end of the day.
