I do not often read the letters to the editor. While I enjoy a good chuckle when the left- and right-wingers sling mud and point fingers, it truly amazes me when one gets his “facts” by showing a picture of a glass of water and declaring that this is what the ocean looks like. Case in point, the writer of “Divide nation, see which thrives.” I Googled the debt, taking what I gleaned from several sites, and all showed the debt went down over Clinton’s term and doubled in George W. Bush’s eight years in office. Unemployment was around 4 percent for Bill and double that for George W.
