NORTH PORT — City commissioners could decide Monday to abandon a study examining a proposed waste transfer station being eyed for construction in the Toledo Blade Boulevard corridor.

Hundreds of residents in the Bobcat Trail, Lakeside Plantation and Cypress Falls communities in eastern North Port have opposed the project, along with an environmental business park that would be built on the same site.
