SARASOTA COUNTY — The Sarasota County School Board is set to discuss school safety and security during a workshop session Tuesday.

Board Member Caroline Zucker called for the agenda item at the end of 2012 as a result of the Sandy Hook School shooting in Connecticut, and Facebook threats of violence against North Port High and other area schools in December.
