The Venice Cat Coalition, which operates in Charlotte and South Sarasota counties, recently received a grant from Petco that will help the Coalition provide spay and neuter services to cats in the greater Port Charlotte area, as well as in parts of North Port.

Theresa Foley, executive director of the VCC, said the organization applied for the $3,000 “Port Charlotte Spay-Neuter for Families” project around Thanksgiving.
