SARASOTA COUNTY — Sarasota County’s recently released Comprehensive Annual Financial Report shows the county is in good financial shape despite the recent economic downturn.

The report, published by Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller Karen Rushing, details the county’s financial status and condition for the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, 2012. County Director of Finance Peter Ramsden said the report has all of the numbers from the county’s Utilities, Solid Waste, General Fund and Tourist Development departments and other areas of the county government.
