SARASOTA COUNTY — Communication and ways the Sarasota County Commission could work better with county staff were focal points of the board’s annual retreat Friday in Sarasota.

Commissioners pointed out there have been communication issues with county staff over the last year, namely in getting information needed to answer hundreds of citizen questions received each day, and to be better prepared for commission meetings.
