NORTH PORT — Karl Lorenz, owner of Ranger Personal Defense Training in Biscayne Plaza, will hold a two-day “Apocalypse Survival” course Thursday and Friday at his gun shop at 13600 Tamiami Trail.

Lorenz said the $300 course will educate attendees on how to protect their families and property from intruders in the event of a disaster such as a hurricane, for example.
