Youth-oriented documentary filmed in North Port to premiere here Oct. 17
NORTH PORT — “The Silent Majority,” a film highlighting the positive choices that teens and college students are making to stay drug-, alcohol- and tobacco-free, will debut locally at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 at the North Port Performing Arts Center, 6400 W. Price Blvd. Admission is free, and the showing — the first in Florida — is open to the public.
The film was produced and directed by producer Leslie Glass and hosted and co-authored by her daughter, Lindsey Glass. The mother-daughter filmmaking team are founders of Reach Out Recovery, a nonprofit dedicated to reframing the national dialogue on addiction and recovery. Leslie Glass also produced the film, “The Secret World of Recovery.”
