If you’re a baseball fan, there’s no better place to be than Southwest Florida in the springtime. In the three-county area of Lee, Charlotte and Sarasota counties, we are lucky enough to have three of the top teams in Major League Baseball here for part of February and the whole month of March for Spring Training.

Though having a major league baseball team, coaches, staffs, and sometimes families, in town for that length of time has a substantial economic impact, especially when you add in the tourism dollars from the fans who come here to watch their teams play, it’s also the charitable nature of the teams that makes such a difference.
