The Downtown Merchants Association is at it again this month in downtown Punta Gorda. However, the Third Thursday Gallery Walk has a little more in store this month than usual.

Tomorrow night’s Gallery Walk will be the kick-off of the City of Punta Gorda’s 125th anniversay, as well as the beginning of this year’s holiday festivities. The night begins at 5 p.m. with the 2nd annual Pardoning of the Turkey at Centennial Bank. Will the esteemed city fathers pardon the turkey? Or will he be doomed to spend Thanksgiving roasted on a platter next to the green bean casserole and cranberry sauce? Plan to come help plead his case and cheer the turkey on at Centennial Bank, 401 Taylor Road in Punta Gorda.
