LWMC sponsors Run for Boston

The Lake Wales community came together on Tuesday to show their support for Boston. Participants Vicky Graham, L-a Vigne, Al Vigne, Ken Bazzel and Alex Sukeforth braved gloomy skies for the “Run For Boston” Run/Walk around the lake in Lake Wailes. Tuesday’s event raised approximately $800 for the “One Run Boston” charity to help aid the Boston Marathon victims.

Dark clouds looming overhead couldn’t dampen the spirits of the Lake Wales community as approximately 100 participants joined together on the lake in Lake Wales for Tuesday’s “Run for Boston” Run/Walk. The event was sponsored by the Lake Wales Medical Center to raise funds to be given to “One Run Boston” charity to help aid the Boston Marathon victims. About $800 was raised for the cause.
