Pancake pleads guilty
to child pornography
A sentencing date has not been set for a Lake Wales man who pleaded guilty to child pornography charges on Tuesday. Clinton Duane Pancake, the former director of student activities at Warner University, faces a mandatory minimum penalty of five years up to a maximum penalty of 40 years in federal prison for one count of transportation and one count of receipt of child pornography.
According to court documents, Pancake distributed 14 files containing child pornography over the Internet to an undercover agent last March. In July 2012, the 37-year-old admitted to downloading child pornography over the Internet, viewing it on his computer and deleting it. A forensic review of his laptop computer revealed numerous files containing child pornography.
