At 1:45 a.m. on Sept. 16, Lake Wales police responded to Lincoln Avenue and C Street regarding a fight, according to a press release from the department.

While responding to the call police received information there had been a shooting in the same area. Once on scene police located a shooting victim on Lincoln between C and D streets.
